Day 1: Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Today we leave early morning for the 3 days Murchison falls wildlife safari in Murchison Falls National Park. The journey is through several villages in Uganda’s countryside in Uganda with green beautiful vegetation and several roadside fruit and vegetable markets. Our first stopover will be at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino trekking. The trek can take anything from a few minutes to an hour depending on where the Rhinos are located within the sanctuary. You will receive a briefing from the ranger guide and start on your Rhino trek thereafter.

After this experience, you will have lunch and then proceed to the national park where you arrive later that evening.


Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on River Nile

Today early morning after your breakfast, the driver guide will pick you from the lodge and start your game drive exploring Murchison falls national park. The park has different tracks where you are able to drive and enjoy both the vegetation and the variety of animals. The highlight of this trip is game viewing in our custom-made vehicles where you are able to capture your favorite moments of Giraffes as they move through the grasslands, buffaloes, Jacksons Hartebeast, Uganda Kobs, Lions, herds of Buffaloes, fishermen on Lake Albert, Waterbucks, etc. You will be looking for the remaining Big 4 having seen the Rhinos the previous day at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. The game drive will go on until lunch after which you leave for the boat safari.

In the afternoon take the famed boat Safari on River Nile from where you shall watch different animals along the shore and continue to about ten meters from the bottom of Murchison falls – also known as ‘Devils cauldron”. This 2-hour boat journey is a great way to spend the afternoon enjoying the victoria Nile and the several Hippos and Crocodiles.

Day 3: Transfer to Kampala

We drive to the top of Murchison falls the wide Nile is forced into a 7-meter gap to a thunderous roar – known as the most powerful falls. There is a resident beautiful rainbow formed making a contrast with the crashing water. After the experience, we proceed to Kampala.

Day 1: Arrive Kigali International Airport (Rwanda)

On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by Be Wild Tours driver-guide and be transferred to your hotel in Kigali arriving for overnight on bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Kigali City Tour & Depart for Bwindi National Park (Uganda)

After breakfast your day starts with a tour of the city. Named in 1907 by Dr. Richard Kandt, the first colonial resident governor of Rwanda; Kigali city is surrounded by lush hills of green and is referred to as the land of a thousand hills. Get to visit interesting spots which may include; the craft market, Gisozi genocide memorial site & Kigali Museum. Depart for Cyanika border crossing into Uganda with a stopover for lunch in Ruhengeri. Clear with immigration and drive on to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park known to be one of Uganda’s most spectacular conservation areas. Situated in Southwestern Uganda along the Rift Valley its misty valleys feature Uganda’s ancient and most biodiversity tropical rainforest. Arrive at the lodge for check in and the afternoon at leisure then dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi National Park & Batwa Community Visit


Today, after an early Morning breakfast prepare yourself for an encounter with the Mountain Gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest boasts both Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees – the only forest in Africa which can make this claim in fact. It also hosts five other species of primate, 113 species of mammal, over 200 butterflies and 360 birds. Given the fact that gorilla tracking time is unpredictable, it is difficult to foresee how many hours you will actually hike. The escapade of tracking the gorillas in the superb ecosystem of the park will be passionate for the adventurers. It may take 2hrs up to 9 hours or more and you should be prepared to walk long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. “The excitement of seeing the gorillas makes it all worthwhile!” Briefing will be given on how to handle or behave with these gentle giants always. This is a fantastic and privileged opportunity to get up close and personal with Uganda’s very own ‘Gorillas in the Mist. Later in the afternoon engage in a community walk where you get to meet the Batwa community. Also known as the Twa; the Batwa community are an indigenous group of people who originally lived in the ancient Bwindi Forest in Uganda until it was gazette as a national park in 1991. The Batwa lived in harmony in the jungle with all creatures including the mountain gorillas and were regarded as the Keepers of the forest. Today they have a low life expectancy and a high infant mortality rate. Some anthropologists say that most pygmy tribes such as the Batwa, the Twa have existed for more than 60,000 years in the equatorial forests. The Batwa lived a lifestyle of gathering fruit and plant, and hunting game in the forest using bows and arrows; mainly for both medical and food purposes. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 4: Depart Via Kigali International Airport

After breakfast depart to Cyanika border for clearance formalities with the immigration and on to Kigali. Depending on your departure flight timings engage in a last-minute shopping in one of the friendliest African capitals, before returning to Kigali International airport for your onward flight back home.
